In an age where we are working more hours, pulled in many different directions and relaxing less, it is imperative to have a healthy mind, body and spirit. There are many different ways to celebrate your life, reward yourself and to achieve happiness.
This month, challenge yourself to try one, two or even all 3 of these sensory stimulants:
1) Pamper yourself with aromas. You will be surprised at how relaxing this can be. Most people have a favorite cologne or perfume they enjoy inhaling or a favorite kitchen scent that brings back childhood memories. So, find a nicely scented candle and light it, or burn some incense or experiment with aromatherapy and oils. (Lavendar and cloves mixed together are a favorite of mine).
2) Have a mini-spa day at home. Use a simple wash cloth and some warm water, or warm a damp wash cloth in the microwave and place it on your face for a minute or two and consider doing it in a bubble bath.
3) Get around nature. Take a walk in a wooded area, or a bike ride down a favorite path or even sit by a lake. Soak up the sun and the sounds of nature and just breathe.
